UPDATE: REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Over the past few years, bilateral relations between Ukraine and the UK have reached a new strategic level, evolving from emergency support to deep industrial, technological, and economic integration.

While defence remains the core of the 100-year partnership agreement signed last year, this document opens a wide range of opportunities for our tech companies to scale across numerous civil sectors also.

The key objective now is to figure out how to turn this political momentum into concrete entry points and scalable partnerships for Ukrainian tech businesses.

On 8 April, we invite the leaders of Diia.City United member companies to an exclusive, closed-door strategic dialogue with Neil Crompton CBE, His Majesty’s Ambassador to Ukraine.

Focus of the closed-door dialogue

  • Strategic horizon for cooperation: Joint manufacturing, R&D, tech transfer, long-term investments, and UK market expansion. The UK-Ukraine TechBridge programme and support tools accessible beyond the accelerator.
  • Defence Tech: Priorities and Ukraine’s role in the British Strategic Defence Review; opportunities and access to financial tools for private companies.
  • Beyond Defence: Joint project opportunities in AI, GovTech, MedTech, and GreenTech in the UK market and in the process of upcoming digital transformation of the UK public sector.
  • Deep Tech & Dual-Use: Integration into the UK’s defence and innovation ecosystems, plus prospects for participating in the NATO DIANA accelerator.
  • Rebuilding Ukraine: The role of tech businesses in recovery projects and access to British export credit facilities.
  • Trilateral cooperation: Exploring the Ukraine–UK–Saudi Arabia partnership model.

About the Speaker

Ambassador Neil Crompton is a highly experienced diplomat who, before his appointment to Kyiv, served as the British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. His expertise, combined with his background in delivering Saudi Vision 2030 and his personal network in the region, is vital for Ukrainian tech right now as Ukraine scales its exports to the Gulf states.
