On April 16, members of the Diia.City United business community met with representatives of the Servant of the People party – Members of Parliament from key parliamentary committees, as well as the party leader, Olena Shuliak.
The Executive Director of Diia.City United presented the activities of the largest Association of product tech businesses and introduced its members. Nataliia Mykolska highlighted the mission of our business community — to facilitate Ukraine’s transformation into a leading jurisdiction for technology companies, promoting their global growth.
During an open discussion, business representatives addressed the issues that are currently of greatest concern to the technology sector, including:
- Stability and development of the special legal regime Diia.City.
- The need for predictable tax legislation.
- Human capital issues: education, talent attraction and retention, reservation of key specialists, and healthcare reforms.
- Creation of favorable conditions for attracting investments and protecting business rights.
- The necessity of deregulation and further digitalization of state services.
- The urgency of adopting tax legislation regarding the regulation of digital assets and digital platform operations.
The Members of Parliament acknowledged the significant contribution of the technology business to Ukraine’s economy and defense capabilities, and confirmed their readiness to collaborate on finding effective solutions.
For Diia.City United, this was the first meeting with representatives of the Servant of the People party. The discussion was meaningful, dynamic, and productive. We are convinced that an open and honest dialogue between business and government is the key to effective solutions and sustainable development of the country. At the meeting, we agreed to form working groups to develop specific solutions in priority areas.
We thank party leader Olena Shuliak for her engagement and support, as well as the deputies Yehor Cherniev, Dmytro Kysylevskyi, Oleksiy Movchan, Halyna Yanchenko, Roman Hryshchuk, Oleksiy Ustenko, and Yuliia Didenko — for their visit and willingness to collaborate.
